Elder Woods - Elder Trezise's Zone Leader Elder Trezise and his new companion who he trained Elder Trezise and Elder Smith - a missionary also from AZ who quickly became one of Elder Trezise's best friends Hey mom, I'm emailing early today, because we got up early to go visit the Carvajals. It was awesome to see Sister Carvajal again. Bishop wasn't there, but it was cool to see Elder Nelson too! Man this week has been amazing! We were able to go to church this week, and we got to give talks in one of our wards. I gave a similar talk to the one I sent you, because it was about patience again. This time instead of giving a nervous 8 minute talk, I winged the majority of an 18 minute talk, and could have continued on, but saw I was out of time. I only prepared a 12 minute talk, but Elder Jevne is new and nervous and his talk was short. It was an awesome experience though.  Tuesday night we visited a referral with the Bishop and found 2 new people...

Transfers were Thursday (Jan. 31) and Elder Trezise was transferred to Shelley, ID.  These pictures are all in Idaho Falls (I think) before his transfer. Missonaries getting ready to have a "funeral" for a sister who was going home The sister's "funeral".  It's hard to say goodbye Best companions ever P-day basketball At the Idaho Falls Visitor Center Elder Trezise's Email for the week: I'm doing really well. I didn't realize President emailed you. He is the kindest, most genuine and loving person I have ever met, and I'll be really sad to see him go in July. My companion, Elder Jevne, is really cool. We get along really well, and are having a lot of fun. We get a ton of time to talk because we are in a walking area, and he has similar interests as me. He's really serious most of the time which is hard at times during lessons, but he is a genuine and kind person. He has read a ton of Brandon ...

Another short and sweet email and no pictures (probably because he knew he was being transferred and wanted to spend the day saying goodbye) Hello. So I got some news. No, I wasn't able to go to the temple. It's complicated. But hopefully I can go soon. Wednesday night I got called to be a trainer. I'm a little nervous and a little stressed out about it. It doesn't help that I'm the only one training out of 16 missionaries who's been out under a year. And I've been out a lot under a year. So that was nerve racking. On top of that, I found out I'm being transferred to a brand new area, which is a walking area. So I'm whitewash training in a new walking area. Yeah... I'm not excited. I'm gonna miss the Carvajals a lot. But I'm staying in a home with Elder Woods, and he is a stud, so I'm happy about that.  I'm not happy to hear about Max though. That makes me sad.  We heard a talk yesterday from an elderly man about t...

Practicing Lessons Some of his Zone with the Idaho Flag Here is Elder Trezise's letter for the week: I have been wearing my jacket. Sister Carvajal says she'll call you if I don't, so I have to, haha. I got a package with a bunch of notes from people in the ward back home, and it made me super happy. I especially loved Benjamin Bowles note. It was great. Yes, the family that hasn't been coming came. We stopped by their house 10 minutes before church to make sure they were ready. It made us happy that they were already ready when we got there. But we're doing this every week from now on. Also, I was sad when I got the rubik's cube for Christmas because the instructions were online, and neither Elder Nelson nor I knew how to solve it. But I went on exchanges with Elder Darcey on Tuesday who taught me how to solve it as we walked from door to door. It took me about half and hour to figure it out. And now I solve it non-stop because it...

Still sick He found a dog! I think this must be his zone Finally wearing a jacket!  Elder Trezise's email: I'm doing better. My throat hurts a little, but it's a lot better. I have congestion pills that help a lot too. So I'll be fine. And Elder Nelson and Sister Carvajal are making me wear a jacket. Sister Carvajal said she'd call you if I don't wear it. And yes, I remember about the PE class, I've prayed multiple times that he'll be able to get into it. That's crazy that Max can start driving soon! It feels like just the other day that I was taking the driving course thing. That's weird.  Also, I'm glad that that dog is moving away, because if anything hurt Ollie I'd freak out. That dog is the source of my happiness. I really hope that Max gets ordained. That's upsetting that you're not sure if he will. I know that you're trying everything you can to get the kids to see the importanc...

No pictures this week and just a short email.  From Elder Trezise: My week was pretty good. I got sick again, and had to spend most the week recovering. It sucks. But once I adjust to the climate change it should go away. It was depressing cuz I couldn't do much work. But a few nights I decided to go to lessons anyway. The Carvajals yelled at me for it, like proper mission parents, but it ended up okay. We found a new person to teach, which made me feel less useless. And the Carvajals made me soup most nights which was really nice. I'm really sorry to hear about Max though. I have been praying for him a lot. I hope that everything will work out. I will continue to pray for all of you.  That is great that Max wants his patriarchal blessing! Mine has helped me so much. But I haven't applied it too much until my mission. Just make sure he knows how important it is, and make sure he reads it often. It will bring him comfort. There's a verse in the Book ...

Him and his comp wearing their stylish Christmas glasses that I sent This was Christmas day - the family they were staying with gave them this sweater Never can go wrong giving a missionary a tie - this was his birthday Playing with the hedghog  Elder Trezise's letter for the week: Yeah, next year transfers will probably be before Christmas, meaning it'll probably be fine to send them to the mission office. But I'll let you know as it gets sooner. It was so cool to see all you guys on Christmas though. It made my day so great. I mainly just spent Christmas at home hanging with the Carvajals, playing SkipBo and 5 crowns. And we got to watch Emperor's New Grove which was super fun!  Tell Nana and Papa I said thank you so much and I love them a ton! Of course they got them a switch with smash bros. That seems about right, haha! That electric scooter looks awesome though! I'm sure they're having a blast on that thing!  And y...
