 Only a couple of weeks until we pick up Elder Trezise!  We can't wait!  Here is his letter for this week:

Hello family! 

This week was pretty good! We were able to get a lot of service hours helping people move, and helping people set up for a fundraiser at the park in Sugar City. So that was a lot of fun. We also had a bunch of lessons with the people we're teaching this week, and they're making some steady progress. So things are looking good. 
Yesterday I wasn't feeling very good, I think I ate some bad food or something, so whenever I wasn't resting, I was studying. And I was able to get a lot out of my studies. 
 
While studying I re-read a talk that I really love named, "Realize Your Full Potential." In the talk, there are a few paragraphs that really speak to me. He says,
"With all my capacity I encourage you to discover who you really are. I invite you to look beyond the daily routine of life. I urge you to discern through the Spirit your divinely given capacities. I exhort you to prayerfully make worthy choices that will lead you to realize your full potential.
 
I will share one sure way you can begin to accomplish such growth. I have seen valiant missionaries brave icy wind, resist torrential rains, slosh through slippery, muddy streets, and conquer fear. Often they bear a powerful testimony, only to be rejected and roundly criticized. I have seen them struggle to communicate truth in a new language. Sometimes the listener stares in puzzled silence. Then there dawns the shattering realization that the message is not understood. But I wouldn’t change any of it, even if I could, because there are those golden moments of success that make all of the hardships worthwhile. Such rewards come when the Spirit touches a heart for eternal good because someone like you was there. To share truth in difficult circumstances is to treasure it more. When you push against the boundaries of experience into the twilight of the unknown, the Lord will strengthen you. The beauty of your eternal soul will begin to unfold.
 
The challenges are greater now than ever. That is why the Lord needs more capable, better prepared missionaries. He needs those who are clean and pure so that they can be guided by the Spirit and can testify with converting power. Qualify to be one of those exceptional missionaries. It will not be easy. But when was anything really worthwhile easy?"
 
I love that last sentence. When was anything really worthwhile easy? I've found that a lot in life as well as in these past 2 years. Times get hard. Things are tough. But when it's hard, and when it's tough is when we learn our greatest lessons. That's when we learn the things that will help us throughout the rest of our lives. Those are the worthwhile moments. So stick them out. Keep pushing and keep trying.

It was a crazy day for Elder Trezise and he didn't call until after 5.  I think being AP takes up a lot of his time.  Here is his letter for this week: Sorry this is so late. It's been a day. Haha. But this week has been a good one. It's been crazy! We had exchanges on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So yeah. Thursday was with Elder Smith, so that one was AWESOME! But the rest were exchanges with struggling missionaries. So that was more tough. But I had a lot of fun. We also drove up and down and up and down all week across the mission, and it was WILD. Here is Elder Trezise's letter: Hello family! This week was pretty normal. We had a good amount of lessons, and got soooooooooooo close to finding a new person to teach. We'll get him. His names Ricardo. He's a good kid. Loves the Bible. Other than that, not too much happening this week.    I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to participate in the family's weekly studies this week, even if I didn't get to be a part of the discussion at the end. I hope you all enjoyed the talks. "Be 100% Responsible" is one of my favorites of all time! It's so good! And it really teaches us how much control we have over our lives. Other people's choices don't change the outcome of our lives, just the course. Same destination. What decisions we make despite others agency is where our true character lies. An ornament I ordered  Doing service One of his many ward parties Lunch with the Elders Visit from his BFF Still no coat Hangin with the Wanlass Fam Dinner with the companion   Lots of pictures this week!    The Wanlass Family were able to go to Idaho for Christmas and dropped off some brownies and salsa for Elder Trezise.  He loved seeing them and luckily didn't get homesick at all.  Here is his letter: I miss caroling at Great grandma's, but I've got to carol the last two weeks, so I'm not gonna complain. That's awesome that Michael is still doing the Organ Stop tradition! I always loved that! The Carvajals son moved in for Christmas, and he's fun, and has the new super smash and says it's super fun.
