I had some screenshots on my phone of Elder Trezise that I wanted to share.  The first one was during a sad time when Elder Trezise was really struggling.  Elder Manu had just went home - this is Elder Trezise wearing Elder Manu's coat.  He was struggling with his companion and as an AP.  I just wanted to post it so that he can look back and see that he can do hard things.  And that there are always good things ahead. This one was taken on a day when Elder Trezise had called home and Max played him some songs on his guitar.  He played one of Elder Trezise's favorite Fleet Foxes songs.     And of course, whenever Elder Trezise calls home he wants to see "his" dog.  He always tries to talk to Ollie but of course Ollie is oblivious.  I can't wait until he gets home to see how well Ollie remembers him and we are all excited for him to meet Ziggie.  Elder Trezise found a Yeti costume that was left in his apartment by some ...

I have felt worried about Elder Trezise lately.  I'm not a huge fan of his companion - he has influenced Elder Trezise to question things and to become lax about other things.  Also Elder Trezise asked to be released as a Zone Leader because he feels like his mission is too focused on numbers and not on people.  I can't express my concerns to Elder Trezise because the time I did that he blew up at me and accused me of not supporting or trusting him.  I guess that's the hard part of being a parent - letting your child (in this case adult child) make their own decisions.  Truthfully, maybe he is right and I should just mind my own business.  Anyway.. he seems happy even though they are still in quarantine.  Here is his email: Hello family!  Sorry this is late, and will probably be short!  Life is crazy, we have a lot of people we're teaching. A few are hopefully getting baptized here pretty soon. Crazy to think how little I have left o...

Here is Elder Trezise's letter for the week: Hi family!  Sorry that everyone is getting the virus. I'll make sure to keep you guys in my prayers. This week was pretty eventful as far as quarantine goes. Lots of teaching, as per usual, but on Friday I had MLC. It went pretty well, and there was a lot of good counseling. During it I realized something...    We are each here on earth for the sole purpose of helping one another. Of learning to work together. God can provide anything and everything for us, but He chooses not to. And He chooses not to because He wants us to help each other. To support each other. To be honest it's a pretty big responsibility as well. Think of how much is placed on our shoulders. The lives of God's children, the magnitude of His 'work and glory' is put on us. And, if we'll allow it, it'll transform us. It'll help us more than we ever can help anyone else. That's the heavenly paradox, isn't it...

Our phone call this morning was rough.  Elder Trezise felt like I had only been criticizing him lately and he just felt overwhelmed and shoved down.  When we hung up I was very emotional.  He later sent me a short email that said he was sorry and that he just felt like everyone was against him.  It opened my eyes that I need to be more supportive and loving.  He later sent this email: Hello family!  First off, the salsa turned out delicious! Elder Moore is super giddy. Secondly, this week was a pretty good one. I had 2 different exchanges that both went well, and it helped me out a good amount. And we taught a ton and it was overall just a good week. The weeks seem to blur by really fast so it's kinda hard to remember everything that happened.    Today I wanted to talk a little bit about my favorite talk, and I know I've talked about it before, but it's been on my mind a lot recently. In the talk the speaker informs us that every h...
