Riding in the van during transfers 3 AP's: Elder Legas, Elder Trezise & Elder Meyers Transfers! Elder Trezise, Elder Legas & Elder Meyers - right before Elder Legas got transferred for his last 6 weeks Keepin in shape  I was lucky to be able to speak with Elder Trezise on Monday and on Thursday this week because Thursday was my birthday.  The Thursday phone call was hard because Elder Trezise is dealing with some missionaries who are directly challenging his authority.  The worst part is the one of those missionaries is Elder Legas - someone he has looked up to and who trained him to be AP.  My heart broke for Elder Trezise when he told me.  At the end of our call Max played him an Elliott Smith song on the guitar and Ben broke down in tears.  I think when life is hard you just want to be around your family.  I've been worried and praying for him all week.  Here is his letter from Monday: Hello family!!! T...

Elder Trezise and Elder Rich (his old Zone Leader) Elder Trezise and the Shivelys Elder Trezise and Elder Cano (departing AP) Some of Elder Trezise's zone Elder Trezise and Elder Brazier (the first Elder that Ben trained) Yay for pictures!  Here is Elder Trezise's email: Hello family!!! Sorry if this email is shorter, it's transfer week and I kinda don't get a P-Day today. But other than the fact that it's been an INSANE week, I'm doing great. I'm beginning to feel adjusted to my new calling and am actually doing really well. I feel happy, and office work is beginning to feel productive. We also got a little bit of proselyting and we invited EVERYBODY to church this week. On Sunday we had 9 people we are teaching come to church, which is the most this area has ever had at Sacrament. So that was super awesome! In other news, Elder Legas is leaving. He is going to be transferred to Rexburg on Thursday and will be a Zone Le...

I spoke with Elder Trezise a little in the morning before work and he called again after work.  At the end of his email he references a car wreck that they were almost in - little did I know how serious it was!  One of his companions, Elder Legas wrote to his family about what happened.  I will include his letter after Ben's. Hello! Sorry I haven't been sending pictures. I really haven't been taking a ton. I'll look for some to send though. This week was good. Super hectic, but good. We had a few missionaries who had to go home from their missions early, so we got to drive them to the airport bright and early. Fun times :)  We also had MLC (Mission Leadership Council) on Friday, so I got to see all my best friends. Elders Oringdulph, Brazier, Steele, Garrison, Davies, Smith, Palmer, Brinkerhoff, and many more. The Assistants have to conduct the meeting and give trainings. Same goes for Zone Conferences, so I got to give a training on the power and a...

It was a crazy day for Elder Trezise and he didn't call until after 5.  I think being AP takes up a lot of his time.  Here is his letter for this week: Sorry this is so late. It's been a day. Haha. But this week has been a good one. It's been crazy! We had exchanges on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So yeah. Thursday was with Elder Smith, so that one was AWESOME! But the rest were exchanges with struggling missionaries. So that was more tough. But I had a lot of fun. We also drove up and down and up and down all week across the mission, and it was WILD. So much driving. It has been so, so cool to see the mission field and interact with so many missionaries though. I feel so blessed. Today I wanted to send an email with some lyrics to a song that I have and love. "It's not about having everyone in the world to yourself It's about knowing that someplace you're loved by someone else  It's about singing and hearing more than your ow...
