Elder Trezise's email was also on Tuesday this week because of the holiday. He was tired and felt sick when we talked to him. He had got the call to be one of the new APs (Assistant to the President). He was stressed and humbled by that call. His email is short and sweet. Here it is:
Hello family! Thank y'all so much for your love and your support! My Christmas was amazing because of y'all. I've got a lot of updates for this week. So Thursday Elder Manu was pretty sick. He had a sore throat, and a bad cold. We worked a little bit, but not a ton. That night around 8 pm President called. He asked if I could come over to do some Zone Leader stuff for him. Now, for those of you who don't know, a mission President generally has 2 Assistants to the President. They help him with transfers, with any emergencies that arise, and meet with him super often. It's hard work. One of his assistants is going home this week, so everyone knew he'd be calling another. So when he called at 8asking if I could come over I freaked out a little bit. I went into his office and he asked me a bunch of questions. Some about me, and a lot of them about my zone. It really was just Zone Leader stuff. He asked me if I would be okay being a Zone Leader in another Zone. And right after I said yes he got a call from another Zone Leader who said he was on his way and would be there around 9 pm. I thought I was off the hook, haha. He repeated the question of, "Would you be okay being a Zone Leader in another zone?" And I again answered of course. Then he asked, "Would you be okay with this?" And he drug my image across the screen and put it with Elder Legas and Elder Cano. (The two Assistants right now). I was a little less positive, but I answered yes. He asked me some more questions and told me to keep it confidential. He also told me he would be calling another Assistant. Elder Legas has been an Assistant for 10 months and only has 2 transfers left. So, President is calling 2 to be in a trio with Elder Legas this transfer and then is going to release Elder Legas for his last transfer. So it actually made for a perfect excuse as we were leaving. Because another mission vehicle was pulling up. So I convinced my two companions it was just Zone Leader stuff and that car was the new Assistant. And I was being emergency transferred to that Zone Leaders area. Then I packed up everything and the next morning I was in my new area. We are in a quad right now which has been really productive, but it's a lot of work. I haven't got to bed before 11:30 since I've been here. I've had more meetings than I can count, and have had barely any time to proselyte. And I haven't worked out all week, so that's annoying. But it's a lot of fun hanging out with President Hurley and his family. They are all so awesome. And it is so cool to work on transfers and see the inspiration and revelation that President receives. My testimony of revelation has grown so much. But yeah. That was my week. It was stressful. And I'm sorry if y'all email me and I can't email back. Apparently we don't get full p-days. Today I only get a few hours before it's back to meetings. I love y'all so much and am so grateful for your support though!!
