Set Apart

 On Tuesday, Sept 4, 2018 Ben was set apart as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.   Kim, Brian, Grandma, Grandpa, Darrel, Addy, Rowan, Ruby, Lola, Max, Evan and I were all there.  This is not the exact blessing he received - but close - Kim took notes:


Benjamin David Trezise I set you apart as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  You are assigned to labor in the Idaho Falls mission.  As you do so with all your heart, might mind and strength you will have great joy.  The Lord will be with you and guide you and direct you.

I bless you with the gift of revelation.

I bless you to be able to recognize the people the Lord puts in your path and that you will be able to engage them in conversation and invite them to come unto Christ.

Seek the Lord in humble prayer and serve him.  As you do this, doubt and darkness will fade away and you will be filled with light.

I bless you that you will learn the gospel in such a way that when you teach they will know that the gospel is true.

I bless you with a love for the people you serve, that you will see them through the eyes of Heavenly Father and that you will love them as He loves them.

You have been blessed with a testimony.  He expects you to share it.

I bless you with health and strength, that you will be spared accident or illness, that you will be of sound mind and body.

I bless you to be obedient, to follow the council of the mission president.  As you are obedient and work hard, you will have great joy in serving.

I bless you to make many friends, that you will be a leader, that you will be a help to those who struggle and inspire them and lead them.  You will be blessed with friendships and with a love for your companions, that you will overlook their faults so that when you go into homes the light of the gospel will radiate from you both and they will see that the Lord is watching over you and protecting you.  Angels are watching over you on your left hand and on your right. 

I bless your life, those you teach, your family and your future family for generations to come.

 Afterwards we went home and picked up Ian and Xander and met Kim, Brian, grandma and grandpa at Mellow Mushroom for dinner.



 It was the last time we would eat together for 2 years.

It was a crazy day for Elder Trezise and he didn't call until after 5.  I think being AP takes up a lot of his time.  Here is his letter for this week: Sorry this is so late. It's been a day. Haha. But this week has been a good one. It's been crazy! We had exchanges on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So yeah. Thursday was with Elder Smith, so that one was AWESOME! Here is Elder Trezise's letter: Hello family! This week was pretty normal. We had a good amount of lessons, and got soooooooooooo close to finding a new person to teach. We'll get him. His names Ricardo. He's a good kid. Loves the Bible. Other than that, not too much happening this week.    I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to participate in the family's weekly studies this week, even if I didn't get to be a part of the discussion at the end. I hope you all enjoyed the talks. "Be 100% Responsible" is one of my favorites of all time! It's so good! And it really teaches us how much control we have over our lives. An ornament I ordered  Doing service One of his many ward parties Lunch with the Elders Visit from his BFF Still no coat Hangin with the Wanlass Fam Dinner with the companion   Lots of pictures this week!    The Wanlass Family were able to go to Idaho for Christmas and dropped off some brownies and salsa for Elder Trezise.  He loved seeing them and luckily didn't get homesick at all.  Here is his letter: I miss caroling at Great grandma's, but I've got to carol the last two weeks, so I'm not gonna complain.
