Here is Elder Trezise's letter for the week: Hi family!  Sorry for the lame email last week. I know. But hopefully this one will be a little better. It was an AWESOME week here, and honestly I'm really enjoying life right now. I get to teach a ton, and we're still working hard, but I have more time to also focus and set goals for who I want to be after the mission. Or I guess what type of missionary I'm going to be after the mission. Because being a missionary has changed me so much and made me so happy, and I just want to continue to change and continue to be happy. Honestly things are going really good though. I hope home life is going good as well. :)    This week in my personal study I was able to read a talk by President Nelson where he says, "I am optimistic about the future. It will be filled with opportunities for each of us to progress, contribute, and take the gospel to every corner of the earth. But I am also not naive about the day...

I spoke with Elder Trezise a long time this morning and chastised him for some things.  I don't think he was very happy with me based on his letter.  The missionaries are still in quarantine although they are able to go into homes to teach lessons.  Here is his letter: Hello family!  This week was a super solid one! We taught a ton of lessons, found a new person to teach, and ended up teaching like 9 nonmembers yesterday alone. It was tons of fun!  I don't have a ton of time to talked today, we're running errands ALL day. It's been so fun though! I know that you guys are worried about me and I can feel the prayers. Thank you guys so much. I'm doing great though. There's no need to worry. I just have a lot of thinking to do. Lots of thinking.  Love you guys!  -Elder Trezise (P.S. - P day ends at 6 mom ;))

I got to speak with Elder Trezise a few times this week (Mother's Day, P-day and Thursday).  He seems to be doing really well except for the fact that they are still limited as to what they can do.  He is able to go into homes to give discussions/lessons so that's good.  Here is his email: Hello family! This week has been AWESOME! I really, really like Elder Moore. We get along super well and agree on a lot of things. I don't really have too much to report on this week. Kind of just a lot of getting to know Elder Moore. We have had some super in depth conversations that have been awesome though.    We talked in depth about 40 different topics, but the one I keep coming back to stems from a quote by President Monson which says, "Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved."    That seems to be the thing I'm seeing the most of right now. There's problems all around us, and everyone seems to b...

I spoke with Elder Trezise on Thursday (May 7) after his letter was written and he got a new companion - Elder Moore.  He seemed excited about the change although he loved Elder Slade.  Their mission got 10 new missionaries on Thursday which meant they could open up some areas they had previously closed due to missionaries being sent home for health reasons etc. Elder Trezise is serving in Sugar City (near Rexburg) and his area is being split.  Elder Slade is training a new missionary.  They should get new missionaries every week for the next few weeks.  Yay!  Here is his letter from Monday, the 4th: Hello family!  This past week was a fun one! We did a lot of service and had a few different meetings, so it went really fast. This week is actually transfer week, and Elder Slade and I just found out we are sort of staying together and we are sort of getting split up. We're both getting new companions. Mine is Elder Moore, and his is one of the f...

We received the following email from Elder Trezise's mission president this week: Dear family and friends of the Idaho Idaho Falls missionaries,   We appreciate the love and support that you show each of your missionaries. They are awesome and we are so grateful to be serving with them. We wanted to write a quick note to give an update on what is happening in Idaho with the current COVID-19 situation. Unlike many parts the country, Idaho has been very fortunate and has very few cases compared to many other states. Currently, the total number of cases in Idaho is 2015. There are less than 50 cases within our mission boundaries. In many ways if you drove through Idaho Falls you would never know anything was happening. We received good news from the governor today when he announced that Idaho would begin phase 1 of getting back to normal life. Effective today, the shelter at home order has been lifted. We had a meeting with the area presidency today and we hope to have m...
