Elder Trezise and Elder Orindolph (his favorite companion)

Elder Trezise and part of his zone
He didn't write much this week but we were able to talk a while in the morning.  Here is Elder Trezise's email for the week:

Hello, sorry this is late. I was helping the AP's out with something. This week was AMAZING! We found 3 new nonmembers to teach, and had 14 nonmembers come to sacrament, which is an all time high for me. So that was bomb. We had MLC on Friday at President's house, and it was so awesome. We have literally been seeing miracles as we have gone out and worked our hardest and done our best. It has just been so freaking cool to see. Also, I got to meet Henry J. Erying (President Erying's son), and he is super spiritual and awesome. So that was super cool.

I don't really have a lot to email or to say today. I have been up since 4:30 and I'm just exhausted. But I did want to talk a little bit about prayer. Prayer is possibly the most overlooked blessing that we have in our lives. I mean, when you think about it, God is an omnipotent being, the all-powerful creator of the universe. And He allows us, no, He WANTS us to speak to Him. As insignificant as we are and as we may feel, He wants us to speak to Him every day, and He has provided us with a way to do so. But so often, and possibly because we have had a knowledge of it our whole lives, we take this amazing gift for granted. We have so many things in our lives that can help us find answers to our questions. We have the scriptures, the standard works, talks, ensigns, and many more tools. But nothing is as important as prayer. Because of personal revelation, we are entitled to receive answers to our prayers. Answers from God. Answers to questions we wouldn't be able to find the answers to otherwise. This is such an amazing gift! And I promise you that it is real. If you pray in faith, with childlike submission and humility, with the intention to act, there is no question you can ask that cannot yield an answer of some sort. But this means your prayers have to be true. Have to be heartfelt. It can't just be the lazy, tired prayers we so often say, if we find time to say one at all. You have to pour out your soul and desires in order to hear God's voice. But He is there. Waiting to answer. I promise you He is.

I know this probably isn't the long, well-written email y'all wanted, but I felt prompted to send a message about prayer, I'm not sure why. I hope you all know that I pray for each of you very often. I hope and pray that you all have the right outlook on life to see the blessings that come from the prayers of others. I love you all so much! I gotta go!
